Nathan Jerkins is a professional actor in Austin, Texas and has received multiple awards and nominations for his many roles on stage. In addition to acting, he works as a freelance stage technician. Nathan has also taught theatre in non-profit and public school settings, and prior to becoming a founding member of Penfold Theatre Company, he co-founded the Itinerate Theatre Company, which performed for audiences in Abilene and Dallas.
Nathan has performed with several theatres and festivals including the Scottish Rite Children's Theatre, Abilene Shakespeare Festival, Austin Shakespeare, Austin City Theatre, and Itinerate Theatre Company. He has worked as a stage technician or scenic designer for the Abilene Shakespeare Festival, Abilene Christian University, Ballet Austin, and Zachary Scott Theatre, among others.
Nathan recently accepted a role as a host for Haunted Texas, currently in production and scheduled to begin airing on public television in fall 2009.
Nathan is affiliated with the Austin Circle of Theatres and is a company member of the Scottish Rite Children's Theatre. He received the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting and design from Abilene Christian University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
