Comedy Kids (Grades 1 – 3) | Tuesdays at 4:00 PM

Calling all comedians, goofballs, and big personalities! If your child loves being silly and making people laugh, Comedy Kids is the perfect place to channel that energy into creative play and performance. In this high-energy and laughter-filled class, students will explore the basics of improvisational comedy through fun theatre games, storytelling activities, movement exercises, and ensemble challenges designed especially for young performers. Kids will learn how to work together as a team while they build confidence, use their imaginations, listen and respond to others, and create hilarious scenes and characters in the moment.

Along the way, students will practice important performance skills such as collaboration, communication, and focus in a supportive and encouraging environment. Over the semester, students will develop their favorite improv games and activities to share with family and friends during a fun final class presentation full of laughter, spontaneity, and unforgettable moments!

Acting for the Camera (Grades 2 – 6) | Tuesdays at 5:00 PM

Lights, camera, action! In this on-camera acting class, students will learn the fundamentals of performing for commercials, TV, film, and YouTube in a fun, supportive, and confidence-building environment. Young actors will be introduced to essential on-camera techniques such as slating, hitting marks, taking direction, reading cue cards, and staying connected and natural on camera. Using age-appropriate commercial copy and scenes from kid-friendly television shows and films, students will practice bringing scripts to life while developing comfort and confidence in front of the camera.

Throughout the semester, students will have opportunities to watch playback of their work, helping them build self-awareness, performance skills, and confidence in both their voice and physical presence. In addition to learning practical audition and acting techniques, students will strengthen creativity, focus, communication, and the ability to make strong acting choices in the moment. Whether students are curious about acting professionally or simply want to build confidence and have fun trying something new, this class offers an encouraging space to explore the exciting world of on-camera performance.

Teen Acting for the Camera (Grades 7 – 12) | Tuesdays at 6:00 PM

Step in front of the camera and learn the skills actors use in film, television, commercials, and digital media! In this engaging and technique-focused class, teen performers will explore the fundamentals of on-camera acting while building confidence, authenticity, and presence in front of the lens. Students will learn essential professional skills such as slating, hitting marks, auditioning, taking direction, understanding framing and eyelines, and adapting performances for the camera. Using age-appropriate commercial copy, television and film scenes, and scripted material written for teen actors, students will practice creating believable, grounded performances for the screen.

In addition to traditional on-camera acting work, the class will also explore performance in the digital age through a unit focused on content creation and on-camera hosting. Students may experiment with presenting segments, hosting videos, creating short-form content, and developing confidence speaking directly to an audience in a natural and engaging way. Throughout the semester, students will review playback of their performances to strengthen self-awareness, refine technique, and develop greater comfort with being seen and heard on camera. Whether students are interested in acting professionally, creating digital content, or simply building confidence and communication skills, this class provides a supportive and creative environment to explore on-camera performance.

Center Stage Kids (Grades 2 – 4) | Wednesdays at 4:00 PM

Step into the spotlight! In this playful and imaginative introductory acting class, young performers will explore the fundamentals of acting through activities tailored to elementary-aged students. Students will learn basic stage vocabulary and performance skills while building confidence in performing texts. Through acting exercises and scene work, they’ll explore how actors create characters using physical and vocal choices, imagination, movement, and simple costume ideas. Young performers will also practice important stage fundamentals such as articulation, projection, body awareness, staying open to the audience, and working together as an ensemble.

This class encourages students to take creative risks, use their imaginations, and have fun while bringing stories and characters to life in a supportive and encouraging environment. Throughout the semester, students will collaborate to create and rehearse a short, original performance to share with family and friends on the final day of class.

Intro to Improv (Grades 4 – 6) | Wednesdays at 5:00 PM

Discover how fun improvisational theatre can be! Intro to Improv is the perfect class for students who want to laugh big, build confidence, and make unforgettable moments with new friends within a safe and supportive environment. Students will learn the fundamentals of improvisation through ensemble activities and short-form comedy games. Students will develop skills such as listening and responding in the moment, saying “yes, and,” supporting scene partners, making bold choices, taking creative risks, and building scenes together as a team.

Along the way, students will discover that improv is not simply about “being funny enough” or magically making things up out of nowhere – it’s about learning simple techniques and patterns that make spontaneous performance feel easy, collaborative, and fun. Through guided exercises and gameplay, students will build creativity, confidence, focus, communication skills, and trust in both themselves and their fellow performers. Most class sessions will center around playing a variety of hilarious short-form improv games while gradually developing the techniques that make those games successful. At the end of the semester, family and friends will be invited to enjoy a fast-paced showcase featuring some of the students’ favorite improv games and activities. This one-of-a-kind performance will never happen the same way twice!

Teen Improv (Grades 7 – 12) | Wednesdays at 6:00 PM

Teen Improv is a high-energy improvisational comedy class where students will learn the fundamentals of improv performance while creating hilarious moments, characters, and scenes. This class teaches students the techniques that make improvisation fun, collaborative, and successful. Through games, scene work, and ensemble exercises, students will learn how to listen and respond in the moment, say “yes, and,” support their scene partners, make bold choices, and build creative ideas together as a team.

Students will discover that great improv is not about “being naturally funny”, but rather it’s about learning the techniques, patterns, and collaborative mindset that allow performers to create confident, spontaneous comedy together. Most class sessions will focus on playing short-form improv games while gradually building the skills needed for strong improvisational performance. At the end of the semester, family and friends will be invited to a live improv show on the final day of class featuring some of the students’ favorite games – a completely original, unforgettable showcase of hilarity! 

The Actor’s Process (Grades 5 – 8) | Thursdays at 6:00 PM

Take your acting to the next level! The Actor’s Process is designed for young performers who are ready to engage with the craft of acting in a fun and supportive environment. In this class, students will explore some of the techniques actors use to bring characters and stories to life on stage. Through exercises, scene work, and rehearsal, students will learn how to analyze a script, understand a character’s objectives and motivations, make strong acting choices, memorize lines effectively, and listen and respond truthfully to scene partners while learning rehearsal etiquette and performance preparation.

In this playful, imaginative, and encouraging class, students will begin developing a deeper understanding of what makes acting feel believable, connected, and compelling. Over the semester, students will rehearse scenes to be presented to family and friends during a final showcase on the last day of class. This class is perfect for both newer performers and experienced young actors looking to strengthen their acting technique.
