You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of registering. Additional details will be sent the week before your class begins.

Extended Hours

Early Drop-Off and Late Pick-Up are not offered for our after-school classes. Students should be picked up on time. Parents/guardians who are late will be charged $1 per minute after a five-minute grace period.

Photo & Media Release

Please note that classes and camps at the Penfold may be photographed or recorded. By participating, you grant Penfold Theatre Comapny permission to use your child’s photograph, voice, or likeness—without identifying them by name—for purposes related to the mission of the Penfold, including marketing and promotional materials in both print and digital formats.

What are the dates and hours of class?

After-school classes are offered Monday through Thursday, starting at 4:00 PM.  Each class runs 55 minutes and starts on the hour.  Classes may be occasionally canceled due to holidays or other events. Please consult each class’s registration page for specific information regarding that class’s schedule and hours of operation.

Is there a final performance?

Our fall and spring classes are skills-based and not focused on producing a full show.  However, each class culminates in a demonstration of skills learned through the course.  That demonstration will be held during the final class, is open to friends and family, and is free to attend.

Is early drop-off or late pickup available?

Where are the classes held?

All classes take place at Penfold Theatre Company’s performance and rehearsal spaces in Round Rock, Texas, located at 2120 N. Mays Street, Suite 290.

What will my child learn at classes?

Students build skills in acting, voice, movement, music, and ensemble work while developing confidence, creativity, collaboration, and performance technique.

Do students need previous theatre experience

No prior experience is required! Our classes are designed for both beginners and experienced performers, and all students are supported at their individual skill level.

Does my child need to audition to be a part of the class?

No, unless otherwise noted, our classes are not audition-based.

What is the student-to-teacher ratio?

Most of our classes maintain a student-to-teacher ratio of 15:1 or lower, allowing for personalized instruction and a supportive learning environment.

What should my child bring each day?

Students should bring water, comfortable clothes they can move in, and closed-toed shoes.  Instructors may request that students bring other items and materials. These needs will be communicated via email within 1 week of the start of class.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancellations made up to 1 week before the first day of class are eligible for a refund minus a $20 administrative fee. The $20 administrative fee is waived for cancellations made within 24 hours of registration. Cancellations made within the last week before the first day of class will receive a full credit minus a $20 administrative fee. Credits can be used for future Penfold Theatre Education camps and classes. Credits can not be used for tickets to Penfold Theatre Co. productions or performances. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or credits.

Is Penfold Theatre Co a state licensed daycare or after school care facility?

Penfold Theatre Company’s programs provide specialized, direct instruction in the performing arts. As a single-skill instructional program, we operate under the “Single Skill Program” exemption outlined in Texas Human Resources Code §42.041(b)(18). Because our focus is strictly on arts instruction rather than general childcare, we are not required to be licensed by the state. By registering for this program, you acknowledge that you have been informed that Penfold Theatre Company is not a child-care facility or day-care center and is not licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. 

Who teaches the classes?

Classes are led by professional teaching artists with extensive experience in theatre and education.
